Who Are We?
LJM Carpentry & Construction was first founded in 2010 by Luke McGurgan. We first specialised in the construction of high end residential homes, luxury apartment buildings and renovations. In 2017, with over 18 years in the construction industry, LJM turned our focus to building high quality customised Tiny Houses. Since then we have built over 120 custom built Tiny Homes, shipping them Australia wide, from our factory in the Sunshine Coast to every other state in Australia.
The Process
- Arrange a time to visit our tiny house factory, see our high standards of tiny house construction (This can be done virtually)
- Tell us what you’re looking for and why? We understand deciding on designs and specifications can be challenging and at times overwhelming with so many options and factors to consider but we want to know what’s important to you and will try to work with you to achieve this in a budget that you’re happy with.
- Email you a quote, contract and optional finance information for your reference.
- Check our next available build dates work with your project plan.
- If you are happy and feel ready to start your tiny house journey with us. You would pay a deposit to secure your build month and sign your contract
Finalise exact designs & specifications.
- Window dimensions and styles.
- Meet our talented custom joiner and draw up your dream kitchen & stairs joinery plans. (Can all be done virtually)
- Decide on kitchen/bathroom tapware.
- Choose flooring colours.
- Choose exterior colours and cedar placement.
- Custom specifications decided and agreed on.
- Pre arrange delivery details and onsite responsibilities.
- Help you with any and all questions or concerns.
When you’re building time comes around we have all your materials in our factory ready to go.
- We take pictures/videos and send them to you of the full construction process and keep you updated and communicate your tiny house’s progress.
- When your wall frames are up, we will walk through your tiny house together to get excited and to mark out where you want your power points, down lights and all electrical placements. (This can be done virtually)
- Final walk through between yourself and Joe upon completion of your tiny house. When you are 100% happy with all work performed, your final balance is paid.
- Your Tiny house will be delivered by one of our trusted towing partners.
